Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage accounts, ensuring accurate control of income and expenditure.
• Conduct audits of financial information to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accuracy in financial records.
• Compile and present reports, budgets, business plans, commentaries, and financial statements to guide financial decision-making.
• Account for profit and loss, analyzing financial performance to provide insights and recommendations.
• Assist in developing and monitoring the hotel’s annual budget, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
• Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice verification, payment processing, and collection efforts, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in managing financial records and transactions.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and initiative to identify and resolve financial issues.
• Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
• Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) are an added advantage.
