Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
• Analyses trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. 
• Reports the organization's finances to management and offers suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
• Be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the Consumer Finance Industry, astute at relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Gathers and monitors financial data (e.g., sales revenues and liabilities)
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements)
• Forecasts costs and revenues
• Manages tax payments
• Organizes internal audits
• Prepares budgets (for the entire company and by departments)
• Monitors and reports on accounting discrepancies
• Conducts detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments
• Analyses financial trends
• Performs month-end and year-end close processes
• Performs a variety of additional tasks as assigned with a certain degree of creativity. 
• Reports to management.

• A team player with strong communication and good interpersonal skills
• 4-6 years of professional experience
• Degree in Accounting from a reputable institution.
• Additional qualifications like ACA, ICAN etc would be an added advantage.
