Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and forecasts regularly.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with budgeting, tax preparation, and audits.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Proven experience working as an Accountant or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certification such as ICAN is preferred but not mandatory.
- Must reside on the Island Lekki axis of Lagos State
