Job Description/Requirements
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Generate financial reports for management to support decision-making.
- Manage the company’s accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing and payments.
- Ensure the timely collection of outstanding receivables and manage vendor payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Monitor actual financial performance against budget and report on variances.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to tax laws.
- Liaise with tax authorities as necessary and respond to tax-related inquiries.
- Maintain and enforce effective internal controls to ensure the accuracy of financial records and prevent fraud.
- Support internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation and responding to audit requests.
- Handle payroll tax reporting and ensure compliance with all payroll regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts.
- Record journal entries and ensure proper classification of transactions.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Requirements:
- HND/Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the service or wellness industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
