Job Summary

We are Recruiting to fill the position of Accounts Officer/Accountant

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting transactions
- Prepare requisitions and ensure timely reconciliation of disbursements
- Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Ensure timely bank payments
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
- Audit financial transactions and documents
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups
- Comply with financial policies and regulations
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
- Publish financial statements on time
Requirements and skills:
- 1-3 years of work experience as an Accountant
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software like Sage, FreshBooks and QuickBooks
- Advanced use of MS Office suites especially MS Excel
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- BSc in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant degree
- Additional certifications in the accounting field are an advantage.
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Remuneration: NGN 120,000 - 150,000
