Architect (Design and project planning)

Responsibilities:

• Ability to work with architectural software tools like AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and 3D max and other industry-specific applications to develop and refine designs 
• Create and refine design concepts based on client needs, project goals and budget constraints.
• Work closely with engineers, fabricators and other stakeholders to ensure that designs are feasible and align with technical requirements.
• Produce detailed architectural drawings, blueprints, specifications and construction documents that detail dimensions, materials and installation instructions for use in fabrication and construction processes.
• Ensure that all designs meet with relevant building codes, regulations and industry standards.
• Oversee the progress of projects to ensure that final product meets design specification and quality standards.
• Address and resolve technical issues that may arise during the design and fabrication stage and ensure that solutions are practical and maintain design integrity.
• Develop detailed designs for joinery and connections to ensure accurate and secure assembly of components.
• Keep detailed records of design iterations, material specifications, and fabrication processes for future reference and project documentation.

Requirements:

• Minimum of HND (Upper credit) in architecture or related field
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in architecture, building and designs.
• Software proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3D max and other necessary design software.
