Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Maintain proper and adequate accounting records to prepare comparative monthly income statements and quarterly management accounts for the company and clients.
- Deploy simple accounting systems to prepare the company and clients' quarterly financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Liaise with clients regularly to obtain records and information required to prepare monthly trial balances, income statements, and quarterly financial statements.
- Prepare monthly payroll and relevant reports for the company and clients, including staff on outsourced labour contracts.
- Visit clients occasionally to provide on-site accounting and tax services as may be required including data entries, using accounting packages.
- Ensure timely monthly remittance and returns to the relevant tax authorities in respect of withholding tax, VAT, PAYE for clients and FSC.
- Prepare tax computations for company income tax including capital allowances and deferred tax.
- Assist in responding to tax queries and other tax-related correspondence.
- Carry out clients' satisfaction surveys twice a year.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Provide insights and recommendations to clients and team members based on research and analysis.
- Prepare invoices for clients and follow up payments with updated records of unpaid invoices.
- Any other duties assigned by the supervisor/management.
Requirements:
- HND/B.Sc in Accounting / Finance / Economics / Business Administration.
- ICAN / ACCA certification
- 5 years experience in Finance, Accounting, and tax functions.
- Experience in an audit firm will be an advantage.

Technology Proficiency Required:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools
- Proficiency in usage of cloud accounting software
- Proficiency in use of other business application software
Key Deliverables:
- Monthly comparative financial statement for clients.
- Monthly payroll for clients, including staff on outsourced labour contracts.
- Monthly payment of taxes – PAYE, VAT, and WHT.
- Income Tax Returns with FIRS & LIRS
- Quarterly management accounts and financial statements for clients
- Internal tax audit report
- Learning and development materials in basic accounting and tax quarterly.
- Periodic financial review meetings with clients.
