We are looking to hire a Business Continuity Analyst who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery (BC/DR) plans. This role ensures that an organization can continue critical operations during and after disruptive events, such as natural disasters, cyberattacks, or system failures.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Conduct business impact analyses (BIAs) to assess potential risks, downtime, and financial impacts of disruptions.
- Create comprehensive documentation, including step-by-step procedures, recovery objectives, and contingencies, to ensure business functions can continue during disruptions.
- Prioritize business functions based on recovery time objectives (RTO) and recovery point objectives (RPO), ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
- Perform comprehensive risk assessments to evaluate potential threats, such as natural disasters, cyberattacks, or supply chain interruptions.
- Document technical recovery steps for critical IT systems, such as data backups, server failovers, and application restoration.
- Serve as the central point of contact during incidents, coordinating response efforts between departments to minimize downtime.
- Document post-incident reviews, analyzing lessons learned and integrating improvements into future plans.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management, summarizing continuity program status, risk assessments, and areas requiring attention
- Participate in audits to demonstrate the organization’s readiness and commitment to continuity planning.
- Provide training and awareness programs to ensure employees are prepared for their roles in business continuity and disaster recovery.
- Ensure BC/DR plans comply with industry standards and maintain accurate documentation of plans, assessments, and test results.
- Collaborate with departments to ensure continuity plans address all business operations and communicate updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Evaluate and improve business continuity strategies based on lessons learned, emerging risks, and industry best practices.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications like ISO 22301 Lead Implementer, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), CISSP or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), etc.
- Experience: 1-5 years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, risk management, or a similar role in a security operations environment.
Technical skills:
- Understanding of failover mechanisms and replication technologies to ensure seamless recovery of IT infrastructure.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud and their business continuity features, including automated backups and high availability configurations.
- Understanding of cloud-based disaster recovery strategies and the use of multi-region or multi-cloud deployments for business continuity.
- Basic understanding of network and infrastructure components (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, routers) to identify vulnerabilities in systems that could impact continuity.
- Understanding of integrated Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platforms for risk assessment and reporting.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, effective communication.
