YPMC is an early-stage logistics startup focused on transforming on-demand logistics by delivering innovative, tech-driven solutions for individuals and businesses. Our mission is to simplify logistics and empower our clients with efficient and customized services. We are seeking a proactive Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead our partnership and growth initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and onboarding logistics companies, retailers, and key business partners to the YPMC platform. You’ll play a critical role in driving revenue, establishing long-term partnerships, and building the foundation for scalable growth.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Partnership Acquisition:

  • Identify potential logistics companies, retailers, and other key partners to join the YPMC platform.
  • Build a pipeline of qualified leads through targeted outreach, networking, and market research.
  • Deliver persuasive pitches and presentations to potential partners, effectively communicating YPMC’s value proposition.


Negotiation & Onboarding:

  • Lead contract negotiations with logistics partners and retailers to establish mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Oversee the onboarding process to ensure a seamless experience for new partners.


Revenue Growth:

  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve key revenue and acquisition targets.
  • Collaborate with the CEO to refine pricing models, partner terms, and sales strategies.


Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, ensuring their satisfaction and long-term engagement with YPMC.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for partner inquiries, concerns, and feedback.


Market Research & Strategy:

  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and growth opportunities.
  • Provide insights and feedback to improve YPMC’s offerings and overall business strategy.


Performance Tracking & Reporting:

  • Track and analyze business development activities and partnership performance.
  • Use CRM tools to manage the sales pipeline and generate regular reports for the leadership team.


Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years in a business development, sales, or account management role, preferably in the logistics, tech, or e-commerce industries.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to generate leads, close deals, and build long-term relationships.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Zoho) and sales tracking systems.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform decisions.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, start-up oriented and capable of working independently.
  • Results-driven with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes.


Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in logistics or marketplace platforms.
  • Knowledge of digital tools and strategies for lead generation and pipeline management.

Remuneration: NGN 300,000 - 350,000 Net
