Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership & Execution: Lead the development and execution of comprehensive business strategies that align with the company’s goals for growth, profitability, and innovation.
- Drive initiatives to capture new business opportunities and build strong partnerships across key sectors.
- Market Expansion: Identify and target new markets and sectors for growth, including but not limited to digital health, fintech, education, and commerce.
- Establish a strong market presence and drive the adoption of the company’s solutions across Africa.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Work closely with C-suite executives and senior leaders at prospective partner organizations to understand their needs and tailor solutions.
- Innovation & Impact: Support the company’s commitment to digital transformation by identifying and leading the implementation of innovative solutions.
- Ensure that products and services align with market demands and client expectations, and deliver measurable impact on clients’ business operations.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration: Provide leadership and mentorship to internal teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
- Industry Representation: Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events, elevating the company’s profile and reputation as a leader in innovation and digital transformation services.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee the day-to-day operations of business development efforts, ensuring efficiency, resource optimization, and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Support the company in ensuring compliance with industry regulations and legal requirements, while mitigating risks associated with business expansion and partnership agreements.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic roles within the IT, digital services, or high-tech industries.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale projects and driving market expansion.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Medical Sciences, Public Health, Marketing or a related field
- An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly preferred.
- Exceptional leadership and strategic planning abilities.
- Strong negotiation and sales expertise.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage complex business operations and drive impactful change.
- Expertise in identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities in new markets.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- High-level financial acumen to drive business decisions and ensure profitability.
- A keen understanding of digital health and Edtech products and solutions is a significant advantage.
- Travel Requirements: Ability to travel to state capitals across Nigeria and other regions as needed.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools.
- Experience with market research and competitor analysis.
- A deep passion for innovation, digital transformation, and the impact of technology on society.
