Job Summary

Our client is a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) distribution company, committed to helping other businesses and industries maintain a safe and sustainable work environment. As a Business Development Manager you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and expansion of the business.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, new markets, and industry trends. Analyze competitors and market conditions to develop effective strategies.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies and plans to achieve company goals. Identify and prioritize target markets and clients
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Understand their needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their business objectives.
  • Lead the sales process from initial contact to closing deals. Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and contracts. Negotiate terms and conditions to maximize profitability.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking activities to expand the company's network and identify potential business opportunities. Develop and manage strategic partnerships and alliances.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of business development efforts. Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management.
  • Work closely with other departments, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.


Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 4 - 5 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and industry trends in Lagos and Nigeria.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Ability to travel as required.
