Camp Boss

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for day-to-day food service, accommodation, logistics, and general operation in the Camps.
• In charge of overall management of catering services, assuring preparation of specific meals per day (according to project size) are thoroughly monitored and prepared according to Food Safety Standards.
• Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards. Initiate Health and Safety inspection, training HACCP principles and Food Safety, prepare necessary reports and ensure all health and safety and food safety issues are addressed and resolved promptly.
• Provide appropriate safety and health, accident prevention, and safety training for Managers, supervisors, and staff.
• Assists client safety management in the monthly workplace inspection to assure safe and healthful conditions for workers.
• Prepare appropriate notices for management to issue for the abatement of any identified hazards in each risk assessment performed during walk-throughs and audits.
• Provide promotional materials and develop and administer recognition systems to promote safe and healthy work performance.
• Responsible in investigating accidents/incidents and developing measures to prevent recurrences.
• Identify the developmental needs of employees, coaches and trains to improve their knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

• Current ServSafe Food Handler certificate required and any other food management certifications.
• Minimum of 7 years of cooking experience, with at least 4 years of supervisory experience in high-volume facilities with diverse populations.
