CCTV Technician

Responsibilities:

Installation:

• Mounting and installing CCTV cameras, DVR/NVR systems, and associated equipment according to specifications and client requirements.
• Running cables and ensuring proper connections for power, video, and data transmission.

Configuration and Setup:

• Configuring CCTV systems to optimize camera angles, coverage, and recording settings.
• Setting up network configurations for remote viewing and monitoring.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

• Performing routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance to ensure CCTV systems operate reliably.
• Diagnosing and resolving technical issues with cameras, cables, recording devices, and network connectivity.
• Conducting repairs or replacements of faulty components as needed.

Upgrades and Expansion:

• Upgrading software/firmware and expanding CCTV systems to accommodate additional cameras or improve functionality.
• Implementing new technologies or features to enhance system performance and security.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintaining accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and repairs.
• Providing detailed reports and documentation to clients or supervisors.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensuring CCTV installations comply with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
• Following safety protocols and guidelines during installations and maintenance tasks.

Customer Support and Training:

• Providing technical support to clients or end-users regarding CCTV system operation and troubleshooting.
• Conducting training sessions for users on how to use CCTV systems effectively.
