Civil/Structural Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Manage, design, develop, create and maintain construction projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner
• Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications
• Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience. 
• Prepare accurate and detailed structural drawings, plans, and specifications that effectively communicate the design intent and facilitate construction.
• Identify potential risks and hazards associated with structural elements and propose appropriate mitigation measure
• Perform field activities such as observe and record existing field conditions as well as take and verify measurements within the project area. 
• Coordinate work and collaborate closely with professionals such as architects, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, etc. involved in the design and construction process.
• Conduct detailed analysis and calculations to assess the structural integrity, stability, and load-bearing capacity
• Assess the properties and suitability of construction materials, such as steel, concrete, timber, masonry, etc
• Design various reinforced concrete and post-tensioned concrete, and steel structures
• Manage multiple projects and administer contracts by demonstrating capability and experience in managing and performing projects in a fast paced environment.
• May assume the lead engineer’s role on assigned projects as well as serve as Project Engineer on smaller, less complex projects.  

Requirements:

• Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals etc.
• Proven working experience in civil engineering.
• Have experience in structural analysis, design, and detailing.
• Proficiency in StaadPro or equivalent finite element analysis software. 
• Strong understanding of structural analysis software, computer-aided design (CAD) tools, and other relevant structural engineering software.
• Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite.
• Have a solutions-oriented attitude with strong attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Project management and supervision skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with not less than 3 years working experience in civil or structural engineering.
• Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering and License of a professional engineer will be an added advantage.
• Candidate aged between 28 and 35 years of age
