Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Facilitating communication and fostering trust between the project and communities.
- Addressing grievances and resolving issues in a timely and culturally sensitive manner.
- Supporting the Environmental & Social (E&S) team in implementing community-focused components of the project, such as local hiring targets and stakeholder consultations.
- Monitoring and reporting on social impacts and ensuring community concerns are integrated into project planning and execution.
- Implementation of the Stakeholder Engagement Plan
- Monitoring of Livelihood Restoration Measures, compensations to PAPS and CSR Initiatives with a social component.
- Conducting training and awareness sessions on key topics, including health, safety, and gender-based violence (GBV)
Requirements:
- Education: A degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, Environmental Management, or related fields.
- Experience: At least 5 years in community engagement roles, preferably in infrastructure or construction projects.
- Skills: Strong communication, conflict resolution, and cultural sensitivity; proficiency in English and local languages; and familiarity with grievance redress mechanisms.
