Data Analyst

Responsibilities:

Data Collection & Analysis:

• Review and process data submitted by clients through the Export Appraisal Portal, including market research data, product specifications, target export markets, and regulatory compliance information.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of the data to assess export readiness, market potential, and feasibility of expansion into various international markets.
• Identify trends, opportunities, and risks based on the analysis of data across different markets and industries.

Report Generation & Business Insights:

• Produce clear, comprehensive, and business-focused reports that summarize findings and provide actionable recommendations to clients regarding their export strategy.
• Translate complex data points into simple, easy-to-understand insights that help clients make informed decisions about entering new markets or optimizing their current export operations.
• Present findings in a clear and visually appealing format, using charts, graphs, and infographics where appropriate, to support client understanding.

Client Collaboration & Advisory Support:

• Work closely with clients to understand their specific export goals and challenges and ensure that the data analysis aligns with their strategic objectives.
• Provide support to clients by answering questions about their reports, offering clarifications, and helping them interpret data in the context of their business goals.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure reports are comprehensive and accurate.

Market Research & Export Trend Monitoring:

• Stay updated on global export trends, regulations, and market dynamics to ensure that client reports reflect the latest industry insights and best practices.
• Regularly monitor and analyze international market conditions, trade policies, and regulatory changes that could impact clients' export strategies.

Quality Assurance & Data Accuracy:

• Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and consistency of all data used in reports, validating the information and cross-checking for discrepancies.
• Continuously improve data collection, analysis methods, and reporting processes to ensure the highest quality of service for clients.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, or a related field.
• Experience in international trade, export consulting, or market research is a plus.
• Strong experience working with data analytics tools and platforms (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, Python, Tableau, etc.).
• Familiarity with export processes, international trade regulations, and market entry strategies is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate meaningful insights that drive business decisions.
• Strong proficiency in data visualization, with experience in creating reports and dashboards that clearly communicate insights to non-technical audiences.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data handling and reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and other data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python, Tableau, etc.).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present data findings in an understandable and actionable way.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on delivering high-quality reports within approved timelines.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Analysis, Economics, International Business, Data Science, or a related field.
• Additional certifications in data analysis, international trade, or business intelligence tools are a bonus.
