Job Summary

As an Education Counsellor, you will provide expert academic and career guidance to students interested in STEM, Art, and Business & Social Sciences fields. You will also serve as a trusted advisor to schools and parents, helping them navigate subject selection, academic planning, and university admission for global destinations. Your subject-matter expertise in science will be key to ensuring every student receives the right advice to build a strong pathway to competitive universities worldwide.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Support students in career discovery, especially for science-related, Art or Business and Social Sciences professions.
  • Advise on subject selection aligned with global university requirements in either STEM, Art, or Business and Social Sciences fields.
  • Help students enroll in high school dual diplomas, AP credits, or A-Level science courses.
  • Guide students in building academic portfolios, including extracurricular activities and leadership opportunities in science and tech fields.
  • Support scholarship planning, essay reviews, and preparation of admission documents.
  • Partner with schools to support their students with world-class academic planning.
  • Conduct one-on-one sessions with students and parents to provide tailored guidance.
  • Collaborate with the sales/student success team to ensure parents and students understand the academic pathway they’re buying into.
  • Monitor student progress and provide mentorship throughout the journey.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in any of these fields: Medicine, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Arts, Law, Humanities, Creative Industries, Business, Economics, Political Science, International Relations, Sociology, or other related fields.
  • Demonstrated understanding of science education and career pathways (locally and abroad).
  • Strong knowledge of global university admission requirements (especially UK, US, and Canada).
  • 5-10 years of prior experience in academic advising, career counselling, or education consulting is a plus.
  • Empathetic, student-centered, and a great communicator.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, self-driven, and solutions-oriented.
