Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Operator with a strong background in offshore separation and gas compression facilities. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience working in the oil and gas industry, specifically with an International Oil Company (IOC). The role involves operating and maintaining equipment, managing process upsets, and ensuring safe and efficient operations in compliance with industry standards. The successful candidate must have substantial experience in offshore operations, strong knowledge of safety protocols, and a high standard of technical proficiency.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain offshore separation and gas compression facilities.
- Manage process upsets and ensure continuity of operations.
- Implement and oversee isolation plans, including marking up P&IDs and developing isolation/de-isolation sequences.
- Prepare and implement temporary defeat certificates with a sound understanding of process safety and risk control.
- Monitor key oil and gas processing equipment, including pumps, engines, and compressors.
- Utilize electronic Permit-to-Work systems for daily operations.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Engage in emergency preparedness and response procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members and across departments.
- Maintain and cultivate a high-safety culture within the team.
Requirements:
- OND degree or higher in Petroleum Processing or a related field from a reputable institution.
- Completion of at least 6 months of technical training in Petroleum Processing or Operations, sponsored by an IOC.
- Minimum of 10 years of work experience as an operator in offshore separation and gas compression facilities, with at least 5 years as a field operator and 5 years as a DCS operator.
- Strong experience with electronic Permit-to-Work systems.
- Experience with FPSO operations and subsea systems is an advantage.
- Experience in preparing complex isolation plans and temporary defeat certificates.
- Broad knowledge of oil and gas processing safety systems and emergency preparedness procedures.
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written) and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills, with experience as an Operations Lead being a significant advantage.
