Job Summary
The F&GM will provide financial and administrative management of day-to-day office operations and all finance and administrative grants management support under the supervision of the Executive Director. You will ensure standards for the work environment are observed and in compliance with donor requirements and management policies. You will help recruit and train any additional needed finance, grants, and procurement staff, strengthen procurement security, and supervise general office maintenance. The ideal candidate will also supervise finance, and admin staff in the areas of strengthening administrative and personnel policies and procedures, and sub-grants management. You will be expected to take responsibility for the budget and work with program staff on budget development and implementation and support the monitoring of effective administrative policies and procedures and will disseminate financial information to management, staff, and vendors in a timely and efficient manner ensuring accurate stewardship reports are presented through financial reporting.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Effectively plan, manage, monitor, and forecast
- Financial Management Systems operations with clear structures, roles, and responsibilities
- Implement a policy with clear procedures of zero tolerance for fraud, financial mismanagement, or other forms of malpractice, and continuously review and assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the financial management and administrative policies, procedures, and processes and identify improvement where necessary
- Regularly review the annual budget and work plan and budget/forecast continuously; ensure implementing staff have a clear view of the working budget and clarity around their work plans
- Ensure prompt preparation of regular and reliable financial statements, management, and donor reports
- Supervise and Implement an Accounting Systems and Data Transaction management system with integrity
- Supervise and manage the process of disbursing funds to program staff, procurement agents, and suppliers in a timely, transparent, and accountable manner
- Supervise the systems to support the management of vendor relationships, pay bills and invoices promptly
- Supervise the Audit Arrangement and Oversight mechanisms including annual audits by the internal/external auditors
- Perform any other work that may be assigned by the Executive Director
Preferred Skills/Prerequisites
- A good Bachelor’s (BS) degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field. Preferably also has a Master’s in Business Administration. Additional ICAN or ACCA certification is also preferable
- At least 7 years of relevant work experience, can be in the for-profit or non-profit space
- Experience with the management of projects funded locally and internally
- Experience with office setup, procurement, and administration of small to moderately-sized organizations
- An understanding and ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles GAAP
- Demonstrable evidence of the use of QuickBooks, SAGE, Peoplesoft, or similar financial applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Excellent organizational skills and
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Previous experience with other funded programs - familiar with project administration, procurement, budget management, and costed work planning
