Food Technologist

Responsibilities:

Plant & Capacity Utilization:

• Monitor production and packing processes.
• Manage Plant, Process, and Systems
• Ensure conformance to specifications and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Health, Safety, and Environment:

• Ensure adherence to personal protective equipment (PPE) policies.
• Maintain general housekeeping standards.
• Audit safe operation and maintenance practices.

People Management:

• Develop staff technical skills through on-the-job training.
• Manage staff performance.
• Provide weekly and monthly feedback to staff.
• Document and follow SOPs and recipes.

Decision Making & Authorities:

• Ensure compliance with required specifications for raw materials and finished products.
• Initiate production plans in line with available resources and approved guidelines.
• Inform the Production Manager of any issues that could alter the production process and decisions taken.
• Make management and budgetary decisions regarding production and human resource issues

Requirements:

• HND/BSc in Food Technology / Food Science. OND may also apply.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a food processing company
• Computer literate with good knowledge of MS Word, Excel spreadsheets & Powerpoint.
• Leadership and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of processing operations management and reporting.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of the principles and practices of Total Productive Management (TPM).
• Preferred Residency: Isolo, Ejigbo, Ikotun.

Remuneration: NGN 100,000 – 150,000 (Based on job experience)
