Head, Mechanical Shift

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team of 4 maintenance technicians, providing guidance and support in daily operations.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of BHS and Topra machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance plan, including spare parts requirements.
• Manage the minimum stock levels of critical mechanical spares and consumables to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, ensuring timely repairs and servicing.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and machine performance.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules.
• Train team members on best practices for machine operation and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Utilize fabrication knowledge to support maintenance activities as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, specifically with BHS and Topra machines.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing a small team.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Preferred Skills:

• Relevant certifications in mechanical maintenance or engineering.
• Familiarity with industry safety standards and practices.
• Fabrication knowledge is a significant advantage.
