Job Summary
As Head of Credit, you will oversee the company's credit management operations, ensuring effective credit policies, risk assessment, and collection strategies. You will work cross-functionally with the Commercial operations and Finance team to create and maintain a sustainable credit pipeline that will support our business activities. The role will also develop and implement systems, policies, and procedures aimed at risk mitigation.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust credit policies and procedures that align with the company's objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Assess and monitor credit risks to ensure the credit portfolio remains within acceptable risk limits.
- Conduct regular portfolio reviews to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Define credit approval framework and recommend credit approval limits.
- Oversee the evaluation of customer creditworthiness through financial analysis, credit reports, and other relevant data.
- Approve or recommend credit limits and terms for customers, ensuring compliance with the company's credit policies.
- Ensure no lapses of error, and balance reconciliation for all credit activities efficiently.
- Coordinate and provide advice on credit exposure, as well as manage the process of credit application and ensure that all support documents are on track and promptly.
- Ensure that all current standards and processes are well documented, regularly updated, and made available to applicable team members for reference.
- Monitor violations of credit policies, provide analysis, conclusion, and recommendations, present findings to management, and suggest actions/penalties to be taken when appropriate.
- Create and implement fund acquisition initiatives.
- Maintain a robust fund pipeline to support business credit activities.
- Build and manage relationships with funding partners.
- Provide regular and up-to-date reports on all lender-related funding activities.
- Lead and develop the credit team, providing mentorship, training, and performance management.
- Partner with the Vendor, Trade, Logistics, Legal and Finance teams to support business growth while ensuring prudent credit practices.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including financial institutions and auditors, to manage credit-related matters effectively.
- Generate detailed credit reports and dashboards for management, providing insights into portfolio performance and trends.
Requirements:
- A degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in credit management, risk assessment, or related roles, with at least 4 years in a leadership capacity.
- Professional certifications such as CFA, ACA, or similar are desirable.
- Experience using data analysis tools to analyze processes/performance and make suggestions & improvements.
- Have strong knowledge of credit risk analysis, credit policies, and regulatory requirements.
