As Head of Operations, you will manage the company's day-to-day operational activities with a strategic focus on efficiency and growth. You will oversee commercial operations, ensuring seamless collaboration across departments and implementing best practices to achieve the business objectives. This role emphasizes operational excellence, scalability, and high efficiency within our dynamic trading environment.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company's business goals and growth objectives.
  • Manage day-to-day operational activities across commercial-related functions, ensuring high efficiency, scalability, cost-effectiveness, and capable of supporting growth across West African markets.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and collaborate closely with Commercial, Logistics, and other relevant departments to meet the company's strategic goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline operational workflows, increase productivity, and improve resource utilization.
  • Optimize end-to-end operational processes across the company's platform, including order management, supplier onboarding, and customer service.
  • Manage resource allocation and capacity planning to meet business demands.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers and merchants.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs for operations to ensure high standards in service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Work with the support team to ensure a seamless experience for clients on the company's platform, maintaining high standards of service and issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, local regulations, and company policies while proactively managing operational risks.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role overseeing cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience in managing high-performing teams and developing operational processes.
  • Deep understanding of B2B marketplace dynamics and supply chain operations.
  • Strong background in e-commerce, chemical trading, or logistics, with a demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and operational efficiency.
  • Knowledge of chemical industry regulations and compliance requirements.
