Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Heavy Equipment Manager to oversee our fleet of construction and heavy-duty machinery. The Heavy Equipment Manager’s duties will include managing maintenance schedules, ensuring operational efficiency, and supervising equipment use. The ideal candidate should be familiar with heavy equipment operation, maintenance, and safety regulations. They should also have strong leadership skills and experience in managing large teams. The ultimate goal is to ensure that our heavy machinery is in excellent condition and can support our construction operations effectively.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of all heavy equipment
- Coordinate and manage equipment inspection schedules
- Ensure compliance with safety and operating procedures
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and practices
- Train staff on equipment operation and safety procedures
- Supervise and manage equipment personnel
- Manage equipment inventory and procurement processes
- Coordinate with project managers to schedule equipment usage
- Prepare reports on equipment utilization and condition
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards
Requirements:
- 10-15 years of proven work experience as a Heavy Equipment Manager or similar role
- Experience with heavy equipment operation and maintenance
- Excellent knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage inventory and procurement processes
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or relevant field

Additional Information:
- Work Environment: This position is primarily field-based, with occasional office work. Regular travel to different project sites may be required.

- Salary: Salary is based on candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Location: Rivers State
Remuneration: NGN 600,000 - 800,000
