Job Summary

Henry Montego Homes is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Assistant with 1-3 years of experience to support our human resources department. The HR Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions, including recruitment, employee onboarding, record management, and compliance with HR policies.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in recruitment processes, including posting job vacancies, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Support employee onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a seamless integration into the organization.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures.
  • Support payroll preparation by providing relevant employee information (e.g., leaves, attendance).
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and other related topics.
  • Coordinate and assist with staff training and development initiatives.
  • Help organize employee engagement activities and events.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company regulations.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR department as needed.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar HR role.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles and practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong data entry and record-keeping skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian labor laws is an added advantage

Remuneration: NGN 200,000 - 250,000
