Job Summary

The Human Resources (HR) Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and initiatives to support the bank’s workforce. This role requires a strategic leader who can manage talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and regulatory compliance.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of top talent.
  • Manage employee relations, addressing grievances and ensuring a positive workplace culture.
  • Administer payroll, compensation, and benefits programs in line with company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, banking regulations, and corporate governance policies.
  • Oversee performance management processes, including appraisals and training programs.
  • Drive staff development initiatives, including training, mentorship, and career growth programs.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure confidentiality and data protection compliance.
  • Work closely with management to align HR strategies with the bank’s objectives.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of a first degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant HR certifications (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, HRCI) will be an added advantage.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a Microfinance Bank (MFB) or the finance industry.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of discretion, professionalism, and problem-solving ability.
  • Age limit: Not more than 45 years old.
  • Preference: Female candidates are preferred.


Location: Lagos

Remuneration: NGN 5 Million Per Annum (Upon Confirmation)

Employment Type: Full-time, Onsite

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday (Occasional Saturdays)

Resumption Time: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
