Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Private Chef. The ideal candidate will be responsible for meal planning, preparation, cooking, serving, and storage. Additionally, they must possess knowledge of nutritional and dietary requirements and be able to accommodate specific dietary preferences or restrictions.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Develop weekly menus that cater to tastes, dietary requirements, and nutritional goals. Incorporating preferences and ensuring variety in meals.
  • Prepare and cook meals according to the planned menu, using fresh, high-quality ingredients. Apply culinary techniques to create flavorful and visually appealing dishes that meet the household's standards.
  • Serve meals in a timely and professional manner, ensuring presentation is impeccable. Ensuring meals are served at the desired temperature and plated neatly.
  • Properly store leftover food items to maintain freshness and safety. Label and organize stored items in the refrigerator, freezer, and pantry for easy retrieval.
  • Stay informed about nutritional guidelines and dietary trends. Accommodate any specific dietary requirements or restrictions of household members, such as allergies, intolerances, or special diets.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times. Adhere to food safety standards and regulations to ensure a hygienic cooking environment.

Requirements:

  • The role is live-out and the candidate should ideally reside in the Ikeja, Magodo, Ogba, and Ojodu-Berger area.
  • Diploma, certification, or equivalent work experience in culinary arts or a related field.
  • Previous experience working as a chef in a reputable organization.
  • Proficiency in preparing local Nigerian and continental dishes.
  • Proficiency in meal planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques.
  • Knowledge of nutritional principles and dietary requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a household or commercial setting within a household or commercial setting with 3 years experience.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing menus and dietary preferences.
  • A passion for creating delicious and healthy meals that delight household members.
