Product Sourcing/ Procurement Associate

Responsibilities:

• Plans product ranges and prepares sales and stock plans.
• Researches and maintains the database of suppliers and manufacturers.
• Works closely with suppliers and manufacturers, to source top-quality products, while maintaining a positive relationship
• Carries out market research on the best products for the business.
• Analyzes sales figures, customer reactions, and market trends to predict product needs and plan product ranges/stocks.
• Stocks, organizes, and takes inventory of the company’s products.
• Monitors stock movement and considers markdown, promotions, and clear-outs.
• Develops policies and schedules for regular procurement.
• Negotiates supply and shipping prices.
• Seeks cost-effective/competitive pricing and timely acquisition of products.
• Knows the customer base and understands their motivation and sales drive.
• Review customer feedback to anticipate sales trends and seasonal stock demand.
• Stay up-to-date with the industry’s best practices.
• Provide management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products/services.
• Assists in content creation, marketing schemes, and campaign development for the company’s products.
• Assists in processing customer’s orders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field from an accredited University.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools.
• Technology savvy.
• Knowledge of sales process and negotiation techniques.
• 1 - 3 years of experience as a Sourcing Associate.
