Accountant

Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis:

• Evaluate Financial Statements, identify risks, Assess Financial Performance
• Ascertain the landed costs of all company products and compute profitable pricing in tandem with the sales dept.
• Generate monthly financial statements (P/L, Cashflow)

Accounting Systems:

• Develop Accounting Systems for improved operations, accuracy, and legal compliance
• Enhanced the effective use of Zoho Book to meet organizational requirements

Book-keeping & Financial Reports:

• Comply and present detailed financial management reports on a monthly  and quarterly basis
• Enhance and/or develop functional financial dashboards on Zoho that will provide real-time/ critical  indicators for management use
• Effective capture and categorization of  daily payments and expenses
• Prompt review and uploading of all payments and expense-related documents  in Zoho Books in accordance with stipulated company policies and procedures
• Ensure prompt calculation and payment of periodic commission to Sales representatives, Independent Sales agents(ISA), and any other commission-related payment
• Conduct daily and monthly bank reconciliations

Compliance & Regular Audits:

• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations
• Supervise periodic physical count and reconciliation of all inventory at all locations with book r
• Ensure periodic filings and payments of State and Federal taxes
• Provide year-end financial and tax documents to the auditors
• Process and file CAC annual returns with legal practitioner

Budget Management and Financial Forecasting:

• Set Financial Goals, optimize resources, and strategize future financial plans
• Prepare and generate a yearly operational budget

Requirements and Skills:

• Work experience as an Accountant
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Hands-on experience with accounting software
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• BSc in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant degree
• Additional certification is a plus

Education and Certification:

• Verifiable industry/professional certification such as a chartered accountant or a certified management accountant with business acumen, preferably in the product manufacturing or distribution industry
• Minimum of 5 years accounting experience

Technical Proficiency:

• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing accounting tools and software preferably  Zoho Books and Zoho Finance
• Detail orientated
• Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office suites (word, PPT, Outlook)

Communications:

• Ability to explain and break complex financial data to non-finance personnel
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to ensure confidentiality across all interactions with both internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent time management and ability to meet constant deadlines
