Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive bills of quantities for furniture projects, including kitchens, wardrobes, and custom installations.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and contractors to ensure accurate project costing and budgeting.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis and prepare cost estimates based on project specifications.
- Monitor project costs and budgets, providing regular updates and reports.
- Review and evaluate supplier quotations, ensuring value for money and adherence to project specifications.
- Prepare and manage contract documents, including tender submissions and variations.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of project costs and financial transactions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the furniture industry or related field with a strong portfolio of relevant projects.
- Expertise in developing bills of quantities for furniture projects, including kitchens and wardrobes.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex project specifications and drawings.
- Excellent negotiation skills and experience with supplier and contractor management.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in cost calculations and project documentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in quantity surveying and furniture project management.
