Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced Quantity Surveyor for Furniture Projects to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing detailed bills of quantities for a range of furniture projects. This role requires a meticulous individual with a strong background in quantity surveying and a keen eye for detail.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive bills of quantities for furniture projects, including kitchens, wardrobes, and custom installations.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and contractors to ensure accurate project costing and budgeting.
  • Conduct detailed cost analysis and prepare cost estimates based on project specifications.
  • Monitor project costs and budgets, providing regular updates and reports.
  • Review and evaluate supplier quotations, ensuring value for money and adherence to project specifications.
  • Prepare and manage contract documents, including tender submissions and variations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of project costs and financial transactions.




Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the furniture industry or related field with a strong portfolio of relevant projects.
  • Expertise in developing bills of quantities for furniture projects, including kitchens and wardrobes.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex project specifications and drawings.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience with supplier and contractor management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in cost calculations and project documentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in quantity surveying and furniture project management.
