Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic Sales and Partnerships Associate to support our business development efforts, acquire new clients for our technical services, and drive revenue growth. This role requires a proactive professional with strong networking and negotiation skills, a deep understanding of Africa’s food industry, and a passion for scaling innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will contribute to FHSA’s vision of enabling sustainable food systems by engaging key private-sector stakeholders and securing new business opportunities.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
  • Develop proposals and pitches tailored to prospective clients’ needs.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, emerging opportunities, and potential clients.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders in food companies and industry associations.
  • Manage service delivery and maintain high client satisfaction.
  • Develop and deploy cross-sell and upsell strategies to deepen client engagements.
  • Represent FHSA at industry conferences, exhibitions, activations, networking events, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Support thought leadership initiatives through reports, articles, and presentations.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Agribusiness, Economics, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree is an advantage.
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales, partnerships, business development, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and securing strategic partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of Africa’s food industry and landscape.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently, think strategically, and drive initiatives with minimal supervision.
