Our client, a prominent construction company, is currently seeking a Site Supervisor to join their team. In this role as Site Supervisor in Lagos. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities at construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will collaborate closely with the Project Manager, Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that project goals are met and that the construction process is streamlined and efficient.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise the construction works being carried out on site and ensuring the quality is at the required level and delivered on schedule as directed by the Project Manager
Interfacing with subcontractors representatives/workers on site to ensure all works are being carried out in line with the approved/relevant drawings and to the required quality
Ensuring best work practices are being used and all workers are properly kitted with the essential PPE at all times.
Ensuring that all site rules and regulations are strictly adhered to
Monitor and report on project progress, including costs, schedule, and quality.
Prepare and submit regular project reports to management and other stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and codes.
Perform any other functions as requested by the Project Manager, General manager and Managing Director.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Civil Engineering, Building or related industry, preferably in a supervisory role.
Relevant certifications in Engineering or Building technology are an advantage but not required.
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
Proficiency in using computer software, such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
