System Administrator

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain server infrastructure, including hardware, software, and operating systems.
• Ensure high availability and performance of lottery game systems and associated databases.
• Oversee and manage the company's internet connectivity, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Implement and manage network security measures to protect sensitive lottery data and IT infrastructure.
• Manage and maintain employee laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and other end-user equipment.
• Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades on all company devices and systems.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and backup procedures to ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with software developers to optimize lottery game performance and integration.
• Monitor system performance and capacity, making recommendations for improvements.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across all systems and devices.
• Provide technical support to staff and assist in training on IT systems and device usage.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of server management, networking, and IT security.
• Proficiency in managing routers, switches, firewalls, and internet connectivity.
• Experience with database management and server optimization.
• Familiarity with disaster recovery and backup procedures.
• Knowledge of system updates, patches, and upgrades.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage user accounts and access controls effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to provide technical support and training to staff.
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or CompTIA Network+ are a plus.
