You will manage all local direct tax matters for a material country or cluster of countries outside of the including compliance and local audit defense; local tax planning and transfer pricing; and subject matter expertise for accounting for income tax matters.
How you will contribute
You will:
Manage and be responsible for the day-to-day direct tax matters for a material country or cluster of countries outside of the US including the preparation of direct tax returns, filings and related matters to ensure timeliness and accuracy in compliance with tax laws. You will also manage communication on local tax audits and recommend changes to reserves for current and potential issues. Ensure direct tax compliance requirements for the country are timely and accurately met, and that tax policies are followed including compliance with internal standards on completion dates, record retention and workpaper support, and provide local tax expertise to the Tax Accounting team/external support. Monitor local tax legislative events, tax audits, tax-planning and business initiative developments. You will provide management with ongoing income tax guidance and support. Develop and continually improve standard direct tax compliance processes and ways of working. Contribute to a high-performing Tax team for the country and region (Mondelēz International employees and actively manage the EY Program relationship). What you will bring

Education / Certifications:
At least 8 years Tax experience in MNC and/or Big 4. Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance. Certified Public Tax is preferred Comprehensive knowledge in taxation Local statutory accounting & USGAAP knowledge is preferred Budgeting / Forecasting Skill Excellent communication skills Knowledge in FMCG industry is preferred Office software skills Job specific requirements:
Tax Strategic Planning
Analyze business activities to identify the potential tax risks and opportunities, and opportunities and minimize the tax exposure. Local Tax Management
Monitor that direct tax related submissions ( CIT returns, transfer pricing compliance report, WHT on dividend/interest/royalty) are compliant with local regulation. Provides technical support to the local finance team and facilitates the communication with local tax authorities and tax advisors to in case of local tax audits Corporate Tax Management
Effectively liaise with the Regional Taxation Department, to minimize tax exposure to Mondelez entities in covered countries especially “the check box” entities. Tax Policy Development and Implementation
Ensure all group Tax Policies and Procedures are properly implemented and meet the local tax compliance requirement Tax Regulation Update Pro-actively explore and analyze tax regulation changes, evaluate and visualize impact, generate activities and train relevant organizations. Business Partner
Provide tax expertise to other functions to support business and streamline business operations. Provide internal tax training to other functions Travel requirements:
