Job Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Technical Director to oversee and manage civil engineering projects, including roads, buildings, bridges, and infrastructure construction. The ideal candidate must have a strong technical background, leadership skills, and the ability to ensure project efficiency, compliance, and quality control.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage multiple civil engineering projects across the country, ensuring timely execution and compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and strategic direction for road, building, bridge, and infrastructure projects.
  • Ensure all construction activities adhere to local and international engineering standards, safety regulations, and best practices.
  • Supervise engineering teams, subcontractors, and site operations to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Review and approve project designs, construction plans, and technical reports.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures on all projects.
  • Liaise with clients, government agencies, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Ensure the company maintains all necessary certifications and regulatory compliance.
  • Optimize resource allocation, budgeting, and procurement for projects.
  • Lead innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.


Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience in road, building, bridge, and infrastructure construction.
  • Certifications: Registered as a Practicing Engineer with a recognized engineering body. Safety Certifications related to construction and project management. Other relevant civil engineering design, consulting, and construction certifications.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and engineering design tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to travel and oversee multiple projects across the country.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with government contracts or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of environmental impact assessment and sustainability in civil engineering.
  • Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is an added advantage.
