Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items to order, following recipes and presentation guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to safety and sanitation standards
- Operate commercial cooking equipment, including stoves, ovens, and dishwashers
- Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients and supplies
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to achieve efficient service and high-quality dishes
- Develop new recipes and ideas to keep menu offerings fresh and exciting
- Ensure proper food storage, rotation, and disposal
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience as a cook or in a related field
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- High school (S.S.C.E), OND or equivalent required; degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Food safety certification (e.g., SERV Safe) preferred.
