Job Summary

The Vendor Engagement Manager will lead the vendor team's effort to meet the commercial plans/business requirements as it pertains to acquiring, managing, negotiating, and partnering with vendors across various markets.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a point of contact between the company and suppliers.
  • Identify potential suppliers based on project requirements.
  • Seek long term partnerships across the world with leading CRIC manufacturers and traders.
  • Negotiate future contracts for sourcing to match and expand the demand side
  • Work closely with the legal department to ensure contract terms are favorable to the organization.
  • Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
  • Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
  • Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and ongoing to ensure ongoing feasibility.
  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
  • Keep a growing pool of vendors and products (locally and internationally)
  • Manage the Stock master list for effective pricing and cost management
  • Ensure timely stock pickup/availability
  • Keep a growing list of vendors to be onboarded (pipeline).
  • Strategize and direct market activations for vendor campaigns and engagement to expand their market where the company has an operations presence.
  • Liaise with the Technology and marketing team on Campaigns for vendor stock sell-outs.
  • Product and process SOP development with the Operations team to ensure proper management of stock delivery.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Preferably Chemistry background or considerable related field).
  • Relevant industry certification; Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, etc.
  • At least seven (7) years experience with five (5) years experience managing a team.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent and proven project management skills
  • Good numerical skills.
  • A person of high integrity.
  • Must be a good team player.
  • Must be flexible.
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Negotiation and value selling
  • Conflict Resolution and Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Ability to review technological trends in the local and global sectors.
  • A Leader.
