Business Development Manager

Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership: Provide strategic direction for business development efforts in the water and wastewater treatment sector.  
• Financial Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accountability and profitability in project execution.  
• Stakeholder Leadership: Lead and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including technical partners, departmental heads, clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies (government and professional associations), to ensure exceptional performance.
• Top Accountabilities: Lead, develop, and implement a comprehensive strategy for the water and wastewater treatment business.
• Processes: Establish and maintain governance processes to ensure the successful operation of the water and wastewater treatment division.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Process, or related field).
• A Master’s degree is advantageous.
• Minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience.
• Proven expertise in water and wastewater treatment technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of the Nigerian water and wastewater treatment market, including key trends in supply and demand.
• Ability to engage with key professionals within potential client organizations.
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset with problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and proficiency in both written and spoken English.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to make a personal impact and interact effectively across different organizational levels.
• Willingness to travel within and outside Nigeria as required.
