Facility Manager - Lithium Spodumene Processing Plant

Responsibilities:

• Oversee operations of the lithium spodumene flotation and ball mill processing plant
• Manage plant personnel, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
• Optimize plant efficiency and productivity
• Coordinate maintenance schedules and oversee equipment repairs
• Manage inventory of raw materials and finished products
• Liaise with procurement, artisanal miners, and ore traders to ensure consistent supply
• Prepare and manage budgets for plant operations
• Report on plant performance and key metrics to senior management
• Implement and maintain quality control processes

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mineral processing plant management
• Prior senior management experience in lead-zinc flotation plants in Nigeria
• Strong understanding of flotation and ball mill processes + optimization
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and team management skills
• Familiarity with Nigerian mining regulations and environmental standards
• Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in lithium processing
• Knowledge of artisanal mining practices and ore trading
• Familiarity with the Nasarawa region and its mining landscape
