Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare a diverse range of dishes, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Develop and update menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet restaurant or client expectations.
  • Maintain high hygiene and safety standards in food handling, storage, and kitchen cleanliness.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, order supplies, and ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring teamwork and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food industry standards.
  • Experiment with new recipes, techniques, and plating styles to enhance the dining experience.
  • Work collaboratively with restaurant management or catering teams to meet customer demands.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Chef or Cook, with a strong background in culinary arts.
  • Excellent knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative and innovative approach to food preparation and presentation.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of local health and safety regulations
