- Develop and update menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet restaurant or client expectations.
- Maintain high hygiene and safety standards in food handling, storage, and kitchen cleanliness.
- Manage kitchen inventory, order supplies, and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring teamwork and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food industry standards.
- Experiment with new recipes, techniques, and plating styles to enhance the dining experience.
- Work collaboratively with restaurant management or catering teams to meet customer demands.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef or Cook, with a strong background in culinary arts.
- Excellent knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative and innovative approach to food preparation and presentation.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience (preferred).
