Job Summary

A dynamic multifaceted Pan-African real estate going concern involved in plot sub-division sales, mass housing development, training, and investment aggregation is in urgent need of a young, detailed, analytical, and self-motivated individual for immediate employment as the Head of Operations who will be responsible for coordinating Operations, Accounts, and Administration. The role will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring operations and finance strategies and policies to effectively support and drive achieving the company’s objectives

  • Minimum Qualification : HND
  • Experience Level : Executive level
  • Experience Length : 10 years

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for daily operations of the company and the company’s finances. 
  • Overseeing all accounting, and administrative functions of the company
  • Ensuring accuracy of financial statements and management account reporting
  • Company-wide budget preparation, planning and monitoring
  • Tracking, reporting, and analyzing budget variances
  • Responsible for Treasury management
  • Periodically review and appraise, the effectiveness, and proper application of the accounting process.
  • Reviewing financial statements to ensure they are accurate
  • Preparing month-end reports for management including profit and loss, cash flow, and balance sheet statements.
  • Proving accurate financial reports to management
  • Tax and Regulatory Affairs- ensuring compliance with government regulations and ensuring that all tax and regulatory filings are made promptly and accurately.
  • Supervise and oversee the company operations including Admin and IT
  • Supervises accounts and administrative departments and functions to achieve set objectives
  • Formulates, implements, monitors, and evaluates operational strategies to achieve the overall goals of the company
  • Maintains effective and strategic relationships with external consultants, vendors, auditors, customers, and bankers.
  • Monitors, measures, and reports on operational issues, opportunities, and development plans and achievements – within agreed formats and time schedules
  • Manages and develops direct reporting staff by facilitating the building of their competencies and skills
  • Ensures the alignment of branch/subsidiary company operations with the organization-wide operational strategy
  • Appraises subordinates promptly and objectively
  • Takes responsibility for the training, coaching, and mentoring of subordinates.
  • Carries out other duties as may be assigned by the CFO and the MD/CEO


Requirements:

  • Education:  A good university degree or HND in Accounting, plus a professional accounting qualification.  An MBA or professional membership will be an added advantage
  • Experience: At least 10 years of relevant experience, at least 5 of which must be at the managerial level
  • Prior work experience in the real estate industry is an added advantage.

  • Taxes, charges, fees, levies, etc matters for Federal, State, and other agencies.
  • Corporate Financial Management
  • Investment appraisal, analysis, profitability, stress testing, and comparison 
  • Reporting to the management


Location:
Maryland, Lagos

Remuneration: NGN 400,000
