Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare meals, develop menus, and ensure food quality.
- Manage kitchen operations, maintain cleanliness, and train kitchen staff.
- Ensure promptness, freshness, and quality of dishes.
- Coordinate cooks' tasks.
- Implement hygiene policies and ensure cleanliness.
- Ensuring training of kitchen staff, such as cooks, food preparation workers, and dishwashers.
- Performing administrative tasks, taking stock of food and equipment supplies, and doing purchase orders.
- Setting and monitoring performance standards for staff.
Requirements:
- Culinary education.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position.
- Advanced knowledge of food professional principles and practices.
- Excellent knowledge ordering and inventory management.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Available to work on-call, shifts, after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays.
