Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to maintain hygiene standards.
- Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, including floors, walls, and work surfaces.
- Properly dispose of waste and recyclables in accordance with hotel policies and hygiene regulations.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, ovens, and refrigerators to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking cleaning supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Kitchen Steward or in a similar role.
- Certification in food safety and hygiene (e.g., HACCP or equivalent).
- Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong focus on cleanliness, hygiene, and organization.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
- Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with other kitchen staff.
- Good verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination.
