Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to take full responsibility for the operations of our rental car fleet. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience, a graduate degree, and the ability to independently manage all aspects of fleet operations, including purchasing and sourcing vehicles, overseeing customer support, and interacting with customers. This is a high-impact individual contributor role that requires a strategic thinker with hands-on operational expertise and a commitment to excellence.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Fleet Procurement & Sourcing: Lead the purchasing and sourcing of vehicles, negotiating with manufacturers, dealerships, and private owners to source the best terms and ensure the fleet meets customer demand and quality standards.
  • Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the rental car fleet, ensuring efficient vehicle allocation, maintenance, and availability.
  • Customer Support: Direct all customer service functions, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for clients, and addressing any escalated issues promptly and effectively.
  • Vendor & Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vehicle suppliers, maintenance providers, and other key partners to ensure high-quality service and cost-effective operations.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute operational strategies that align with company goals, focusing on growth, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the operations budget, ensuring cost control, forecasting expenses, and identifying areas for financial improvement without sacrificing service quality.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all operations adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards, environmental laws, and industry-specific requirements.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor performance, identify trends, and drive process improvements.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with fleet operations, including safety, liability, and operational disruptions.
  • Technology Utilization: Implement and manage technology solutions to enhance fleet tracking, maintenance scheduling, customer support, and overall operational efficiency.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on operational performance, fleet status, customer feedback, and financial metrics.


Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience in operations management, with significant experience in the rental car, transportation, logistics or related industry.
  • Education: Graduate degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Self-Management: Strong ability to work independently and take full responsibility for all operational aspects of the fleet.
  • Procurement Expertise: Experience in purchasing and sourcing vehicles, with strong negotiation skills and vendor management experience.
  • Customer Focus: Demonstrated ability to oversee customer service operations and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management, staff, vendors, and customers.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with fleet management software, ERP systems, and other relevant operational tools.
  • Compliance Knowledge: In-depth understanding of industry regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements related to fleet management.

  • You have experience incorporating technology to optimize workflows.

Location: Remote

Remuneration: USD 1,500 Monthly Gross
