Job Summary

We have been retained by a Foundation, a non-for-profit organisation, set up for the advancement of the common good in Africa. Its areas of focus include Public Speaking, Leadership, Mentoring, Values Orientation, Promotion of Indigenous Languages and Culture, Women Development, decent Shelter and Environment, etc. Its flagship program is its Biennial Public Lecture Series which addresses issues of contemporary relevance in Africa generally and Nigeria, particularly for the advancement of good governance. It also organizes and supports Awards in Excellence and Public Speaking. The Foundation seeks the services of a passionate and self motivated individual committed to the common good. The Program Manager reports directly to and provides high-level support to the Executive Secretary.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure smooth and effective execution of the directives of the Board of Trustees.
  • Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Foundation. This includes BOT meeting arrangement, minutes taking, and execution of action plans and programmes.
  • Must be independent-minded, dependable, and possess the right work ethic with the capacity to effectively engage with key stakeholders including the BOT, donors, volunteers, beneficiaries, auditors, and institutions globally.
  • Must also be digitally savvy and able to deploy research and social media to advance the ideals and objectives of the Foundation, Event management and administrative capabilities are advantageous.

 


Requirements:

  • A first degree in any discipline from a reputable tertiary institution is required. A Master’s degree is advantageous.
  •  Minimum of 8 years experience including voluntary and paid employment in program management and implementation in a well-run not-for-profit organization.
  • Exceptional program management skills including budgeting & control, fundraising and grant-making, identification of potential donors, sponsors, and partners, as well as the ability to multitask and operate with a focus on meeting deadlines.
  • Strong research and analytical skills with demonstrable capacity to employ  IT, social media, and relevant tools to develop and design campaigns for the right audience·         
  • Sound judgment, excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management skills.
  • This position is for an intrinsically motivated individual. Compensation is not expected to be the primary driver.


 Location: Lagos
