We are seeking an experienced Chef to lead our kitchen team. Responsibilities include managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and overseeing menu planning and staff management for exceptional dining experiences.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Kitchen Management: Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and efficiency.
  • This includes regular inspections of kitchen equipment and adherence to health regulations to create a safe working environment for all staff. 
  • Menu Planning: Develop and implement menus that cater to diverse customer preferences and dietary needs.
  • Collaborate with local suppliers to source fresh, seasonal ingredients that enhance the menu's appeal and sustainability. 
  • Staff Management: Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks and sous chefs, to work effectively as a team.
  • Foster a positive work culture that encourages creativity and professional growth among team members. 
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
  • Conduct regular taste tests and plating reviews to ensure that every dish meets the restaurant's standards before it reaches the customer. 
  • Time Management: Ensure meals are prepared and served within specified timeframes.
  • Implement efficient workflows and scheduling to optimize kitchen operations during peak service hours. 
  • Inventory Management: Manage kitchen supplies and ingredients to minimize waste and optimize costs.
  • Regularly review inventory levels and forecast needs to ensure that the kitchen is well-stocked without over-purchasing. 
  • Customer Satisfaction: Monitor customer feedback and implement changes to improve dining experiences.
  • Engage with guests to understand their preferences and address any concerns promptly to enhance overall satisfaction.  


Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chef or in a similar role.
  • Proven track record of success in managing a busy kitchen and delivering exceptional dining experiences. 
  • Skills: Strong leadership, culinary expertise, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team while maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure. 
  • Certifications: Relevant culinary certifications or diplomas.
  • Additional training in food safety and management practices is highly desirable to ensure compliance with industry standards.
