Responsibilities:

Food Preparation:

• Prepare a variety of food items, including sauces, marinades, vegetables, proteins, and other components of Toasties' menu items, according to standardized recipes and procedures.
• Follow strict quality control guidelines to ensure consistency and adherence to Toasties' standards.
• Portion and package food items for distribution to individual restaurant locations.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.

Kitchen Operations:

• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries of food supplies.
• Properly label and date all food items.
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
• Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team.
• Maintain kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues.

Other Duties:

• Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
• Contribute to menu development and recipe testing as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.

Requirements:

• Education: SSCE or equivalent. Culinary training or certification is a plus.
• Experience: Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a high-volume or central kitchen environment. 

Skills:

• Strong culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and procedures.
• Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
