Job Summary
The Head of Bakers is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the baking team, ensuring the production of high-quality baked goods, managing workflow in the bakery, and maintaining strict hygiene standards. They will collaborate with other departments to ensure the timely production of items and maintain customer satisfaction.

Job Description/Requirements
- Lead, train, and mentor the baking team.
- Assign tasks and monitor work to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations within the bakery.
- Ensure supervision of apprentices/students/interns.
- Plan and oversee the production schedule to meet demand.
- Ensure the consistent production of high-quality baked goods.
- Collaborate with purchasing to ensure ingredients are available and of high quality.
- Maintain and enforce baking standards and recipes.
- Lead in the development and testing of recipes
- Ensure the correct quantities of ingredients are used and adjust recipes as needed.
- Conduct regular quality control checks on all products.
- Monitor stock levels and order baking supplies as needed.
- Ensure the proper storage of ingredients and products to minimize waste.
- Take records of products made.
- Work closely with the bakery manager and other departments to coordinate production and deliveries.
- Assist in developing new product lines and improving existing ones based on market trends and customer feedback.
- Ensure all equipment is well-maintained and properly cleaned after each use.
- Oversee cleaning schedules to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
- Operate and perform minor maintenance on baking machines and equipment where necessary.
- Any other assigned responsibilities as requested by management.
- Proven experience as a baker, preferably with leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of bakery equipment and production processes.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage a team and work under pressure.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
